This site is dedicated primarily to the descendants of John S. Benbrook, my great-great grandfather, born in 1842 in Illinois, died 1914 in Missouri, he was married to Susan Ella Weldy.

John S. Benbrook is the great grandson of Ezekiel Gould Benbrook, who is our oldest documented ancestor in America.  Ezekiel was born in 1748 in North Carolina, died in 1840 in Indiana, and he was married to Mary Meguiar.

It seems that the vast majority of Benbrook's in the United States today descend from Ezekiel.  However, we do have another line of Benbrook's, which I commonly refer to as the New Jersey Benbrook's.  These Benbrook cousins are descendants of Stephen Benbrook, who married Sarah Brown, and they sailed from England in the early 1800's with 8 children and settled in New Jersey.  There is a genealogy report available here with what little information I have gathered over the years on this family tree.
